We interviewed 5 realtors in total before deciding to work with Margaret, and we definitely made the right choice. We can't say enough good things about our experience working with Margaret!! She executed each step of the process with great competence, knowledge, and insight. She *always* made herself available both in person and via text/email/phone, for each step of the process starting with the pre-inspection, to the photo shoot, to the open house, to Buyers' inspections, etc. Communication was excellent, the advice she provided was stellar, and all the little things she went out of her way to be on top of were SO appreciated.
We especially appreciated Margaret's commitment to the ethics of the real estate profession (as part of her professional interests/involvement). For example, in some of our interviews with other prospective realtors, we didn't like some of the pressure tactics or other suggestions they had for selling the house quickly which didn't seem in our best interest. We had a high degree of trust in Margaret from the start, which is of utmost importance in such a large financial transaction.
We were really impressed with all the work Margaret put in to get our house sold quickly and for the best price. The marketing was really impressive, including a very professional photo/video presentation of the home, and super successful open house, and lots of other advertising to 'get the word out' about the house, and generate the maximum interest and competition for the property. Carrie Moyer made the selling process easy. Carrie is knowledgeable in all aspects of the selling process and had a very good sense of the market climate, pricing the house well. The house being sold was not mine, but I was the family member designated to handle all the financial decisions, and inasmuch as I am a self-employed business woman myself, I appreciated not having to participate in much of the research, advertising, staging, and selling process. Carrie understood my needs/wants from our first conversation and the selling process was almost seemless at my end. I had indicated that the house was to be sold "as is," which meant I did not want to spend time and money "updating or staging" the house. This may not have helped to increase the selling price (which directly reflects commissions), but Carrie did not give me any rebuttal.
Much to my surprise, there were offers from prospective buyers within a week of signing the listing agreement and within a two month period - the house was sold. The family that bought the house are very happy with their purchase and very nice people, which only made this sales process even more positive. My mother in law would be pleased to know that her house was sold to a nice family.

We all know that a manager can instruct a subordinate to execute specific actions to help ensure the customer's satisfaction. But how many establishments have people that "want" to do the right thing. Having an individual like Alan working "for" the customer is a rarity.
Alan possesses a high level of the tangible characteristics called K.A.S.H.
K = Knowledge - Alan knows how to execute his job and procedures well.
A = Attitude - Alan is an individual that "wants" to perform his job and procedures well.
S = Skills - Alan "always" seems to know when to apply his knowledge.
H = Habits - Alan performs his job well, because he is practiced.
He is what I refer to as unconsciously competent.
Alan was very patient and understanding throughout this stressful time with my family. Alan's level of individualized customer service is the signature of a service professional that makes the time to care. It also speaks about the quality of the organization Alan works for.
Let me be blunt... Quality is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution. It represents the wise choice of many alternatives.
Iris, the broker, is excellent. Like Alan, she is caring, professional, knowledgeable, and often missing from business these days, kind.
However, during the time my home was on the market, I did have agents visit my residence that were less than professional.
I will not state the names of these individuals because Alan and Iris were the dominant players participating in the selling of my home.
In closing I just want to tell you and your organization that my family will always appreciate the work and professional understanding delivered by Iris and especially Alan Lurie.

During the time my home was on the market, my family had the displeasure of experiencing the lack of professionalism from agents of many firms other than Century 21.
How would you like to return home to find your front door unlocked, window shades jumbled and bent, lights left on, bathroom return vent running, etc.?
I spoke to one of those agents that left my front door unlocked. Her comment... "What are you worried about, you live in a good neighborhood". I just looked at my wife in disbelief. If she said that she was sorry, I made a mistake, I would have understood. (Amateurish, Inept and Unprofessional)
Some agents would allow the visiting family view the lower level of the house while the families children were on the upper level. It was amazing to see the disregard of professional protocol executed by a few untrained, disrespectful realtors. - Nicholas & Susan Grippi August 2016
